Information for paying your taxes: 1. Taxes are mailed once a year in June or July. 2. Taxes are due the first of February, May, August and November. 3. There is a ten day grace period in which to pay taxes. If taxes are not paid by the tenth, interest is charged back to the original due date. Postmarks are not accepted. Interest is charged at 8% for the first $1500.00 of delinquency and 18% thereafter. Once interest is at 18%, it will remain at 18% until the entire balance is paid in full. 4. You are responsible for your real estate taxes whether or not you have a bill in your possession. If you do not have the original, you may use an advice copy if you have one. You can always call or come into the office for the amount due. If you need a copy, call the office and a copy will be ready for you when you come in. Charge for duplicate bills $5.00 for first copy, $25.00 for future copies. 5. Payments may either be hand delivered or mailed in. If you mail in your payment and would like a receipt, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your bill and your payment. If you send in a check with your quarterly stub alone, your check will be your receipt. If you do not have your bill and need a receipt, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with a note requesting the receipt. 6. We will receipt bills only on the day the payment is received. We will only give one receipt for a payment. If you need proof of payment at a later date a payment history can be printed for you. TAX REBATE PROGRAMS
