Dear Park
Perspective Wrestler & Parents,
Our intention of this letter is to inform you about one of
the most storied wrestling programs in the state. Roselle Park Wrestling has
long enjoyed a level of success that is unlike most other wrestling programs.
For example, our wrestling program over the years has compiled 6 State
Championships, 20 State Sectional Championships, 24 District Championships, 27
Conference Championships and 11 Union County Championships. In addition, our
program has produced a number of individual National, State, Region, District,
Conference, County Champions
and Place Winners.
Hopefully our success on the mat is evident; however, I
believe that our biggest attribute is this program’s ability to produce
successful men. Over the years, Roselle Park Wrestling aided in the development
of young men, just like your son, who went on to become Decorated Servicemen,
Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Corporate Executives, Police Officers, Firemen,
Educators, Laborers, Husbands, and Fathers. Moreover, leadership development is
an essential component of the Park Wrestling educational experience. Roselle
Park wrestling is in search of
student leaders who are encouraged to further develop their leadership skills
by serving as a team leader, match captain or team captain.
This success is made possible by our professional staff
which is comprised of Teacher of the Year Award recipients. In addition to this
success in the classroom, we have significant success on the mat as well. Our
staff is comprised of Coach of the Year recipients, Division 1 A and 3
Collegiate Varsity Wrestlers; High School County, District, Region and State
Place Winners and Champions. This teaching and coaching experience affords our
student-athletes with the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge and cutting
edge offensive/defensive techniques to develop the necessary skills to become
competitive wrestlers.
Our wrestling facilities which include a private locker
room, wrestling room and coaches office is considered one of the top facilities
in the state. Our Ralph T. Williams Gymnasium is state recognized for
intimidating opponents in front of hundreds of fans since 1964. In addition to
our outstanding facilities, our program is designed in such a fashion that a
wrestler can begin competing at the age of five in one of many opportunities
offered to the youth of Roselle Park.
These opportunities consist of a Pee-Wee, Bantam, Central Jersey,
Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity programs. Without the support of our
Recreational and Middle School aged teams, it would not be possible to compete
at the level we have for so many years.
Moreover, our Booster Club through their extensive
fundraising efforts is responsible for providing financial support within the
form of scholarships, equipment, clinics, camps and tournaments.
We hope that this letter has raised your awareness of the
success of your town’s wrestling program. In addition, we hope this has at the
least sparked your curiosity about how this storied program and professional staff
can assist you in the development of a successful man, student and athlete.
You can register for Recreational Wrestling on October 17,
