Roselle Park Plans Holiday Events
The Borough of Roselle Park is holding a Holiday Exterior Home Decoration Contest. Applications may be picked up at the Casano Community Center and completed and returned to the Center no later than Wednesday, December 10th. Categories are Most Humorous, Most Inspirational, and Most Original. Winners will be recognized at the December 18th Council Meeting.
The Borough of Roselle Park will hold its
Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
on Friday, December 5th
at Michael Mauri Park
6:30 to 7:30 PM.
There will be caroling and holiday music
performed by the
Sherman School Choir, Roselle Park Middle School Choir and Hand Bell Choir, and the Roselle Park High School Choir.
There will also be some surprise musical performances and a possibility that Mr. and Mrs. Saint Nick will make an appearance.
Saturday December 6th, is the
Annual Holiday Parade
“Go Green, Be Evironmentally Keen!”
Scheduled to kick off at 1 PM from Sherman School.
The parade route will be the same as last year, north up Sherman Ave. to East Lincoln Ave., following East Lincoln Ave. to Chestnut St., left onto Chestnut St., concluding at Michael Mauri Park.
The Holiday Parade is sponsored by
the Mayor and Council of The Borough of Roselle Park.
Immediately following the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Holiday Parade there will be an open house at the
Casano Community Center, 314 Chestnut Street.
This year the open houses are sponsored by the Roselle Park Community Center Association and Committee and the Roselle Park Education Association.
The Casano Community Center volunteers will be serving hot chocolate and cookies. Also look for some unexpected goodies during the open house after the Holiday Parade.
The Casano Community Center is Sponsoring a Holiday Ceramics Class for All Ages on Tuesday, December 9th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. The price is $8 per person.
