The Finance Department is responsible for the preparation, supervision and maintenance of all the financial records of the Borough of Roselle Park as well as debt management, grant management, personnel and payroll matters. All purchases are made through the Qualified Purchasing Agent, and disbursements are made through Treasurer. With the support of a dedicated staff, the Chief Financial Officer advises the Mayor and Borough Council on fiscal policies, manages cash flow and municipal investments, manages debt, reviews tax, utility and assessment billings, reviews revenue collections and cash balances, supervises payroll issuance and reporting, and plans, prepares, implements & controls budgets.
As of September 2021 the Department consists of four (4) employees, plus the Qualified Purchasing Agent who does not serve as a full-time employee of the Department.
