The public is encouraged to attend meetings of the Mayor and Council as well as the Municipal Land Use Board to provide input in connection with this redevelopment area. A summary of recent actions and upcoming opportunities for input are as follows (updated 12/3/2018):

Municipal Land Use Board Meeting:             Held on Monday, November 5, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at Borough Hall. The Board reviewed the Redevelopment Plan referred by Mayor and Council and made certain findings and recommendations. A copy of such findings and recommendations can be found below and are subject to action by the Mayor and Council.

Mayor and Council Meeting:                         Thursday, December 3, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at Borough Hall (110 East Westfield Avenue) – The Mayor and Council will discuss the Municipal Land Use Board’s findings and recommendations and will consider incorporating the advice of the Board into the Plan. In addition, the Mayor and Council may consider introduction of an Ordinance enabling adoption of the Redevelopment Plan; such Ordinance is subject to a second reading and public hearing in accordance with the law.

Mayor and Council Meeting:                         Thursday, December 20, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at Borough Hall (110 East Westfield Avenue) – The Mayor and Council will conduct the second reading and public hearing (assuming introduction on 12/3/18) on an Ordinance enabling adoption of Redevelopment Plan. After a public hearing is held, the Mayor and Council may adopt the Ordinance, thereby the Redevelopment Plan.
