September 22, 2022 (Roselle Park, NJ) – After nearly 21 months of coordination, a system of Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacons was installed at the intersection of Westfield Avenue (NJ Rt. 28) and Dalton Street. This pedestrian safety project was spearheaded by First Ward Councilman Gregory Johnson in the wake of a tragic pedestrian fatality in December 2020. With the support of Mayor Joseph Signorello, members of Borough Council (past and present) and the Borough Administration, the Borough entered into an agreement with the New Jersey Department of Transportation to share the cost of these infrastructure upgrades and make the project a reality.
