When is the deadline?
All dog and cat licenses must be renewed no later than January 31, 2021. Failure to renew a license may result in the issuing of summonses.

Does my pet need to receive a rabies shot?
Please note that the New Jersey State Department of Health requires any dog whose rabies shot expires before October 31, 2021 to be immunized before a 2021 license can be issued. The Borough is unable to waive this requirement unless a written exemption is provided by your pet’s veterinarian.

What are the fees?
Dogs
Spayed/Neutered: $17.00
Non-Spayed/Neutered: $20.00

Cats
Spayed/Neutered: $10.00
Non-Spayed/Neutered: $15.00

Licenses renewed after January 31, 2021 will be subject to a late fee of $2.00 per month (not to exceed $10.00).

How do I pay?
While COVID-19 currently requires the Borough to keep municipal buildings closed for walk-up access, payments can be made by check utilizing the Borough Hall drop box (directly to the right of the front door). Checks can be made payable to the Borough of Roselle Park. Simply drop off a sealed envelope containing your check payment, your pet’s rabies vaccination verification, and the animal’s neuter status. Once processed, your licenses will be mailed to you.

Credit card payments are NOT accepted for this licensing process, and cash payments will only be accepted by appointment. Please call 908-245-6222 x1001 or x1002 to make an appointment to pay in cash, and for all other questions.

Please DO NOT place cash in the drop box at Borough Hall!
